Founded in 2007, the Downtown Augusta Alliance, a group of downtown merchants, business and property owners and residents joined together to promote the health, vitality and progress of Downtown Augusta by making downtown a wonderful place to live, work and play while creating a vibrant multi-use neighborhood where businesses and the residential community can flourish through cooperative efforts of commercial, professional and residential interests.

The boundaries for the d(a)² are downtown Augusta from East Boundary to 15th Street and from the Savannah River to Walton Way.
who is d(a)²
If you are a business owner, property owner or have a business interest in the d(a)² district, you should be a Active member! Active members receive all our newsletters, important information for downtowners, and opportunities to participate in the Board of Directors, committees and promotions. It also entitles you to vote on issues at our quarterly membership meetings.
If you are a resident or simply love downtown, you can join as an Associate member. Associates receive all our newsletters, can participate in committees and be involved in the progress of Downtown Augusta.

d(a)² is the new voice of the downtown business and residential community, committed to making downtown the heart of our community. Furthering the progress and vibrancy of downtown Augusta, we will build effective partnerships among stakeholders, residents, and current downtown organizations, d(a)² will bring fresh ideas to revitalize the economic vitality of downtown. We want to help create a vibrant downtown. d(a)² will work toward cleaning up our downtwon, making it pedestrian friendly, improve signage, rehabilitate deteriorating buildings and make downtown the heart of Augusta.
